Tax Reviewer - Sioux Falls, SD
Consistent with the vision and values of Limestone, Inc., provide expert-level tax services to Limestone clients. Ensure quality of tax returns by performing reviews of staff work. Monitor client deliverables and maintain consistent communication with clients. Provide coaching to clients and Limestone team members related to tax matters.

Their dream is to provide a transformative experience to Limestone clients by helping the tax department complete tax returns on time with high accuracy and by helping staff deliver understandable results.
Work includes:
• Have fun and promote a positive attitude to clients and team members.
• Ready Federal, State, or local tax returns for individuals, business establishments, or other organizations
• Prepare and analyze financial and tax accounts, records, and reports; and determine taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations
• Advise clients and coach staff regarding effects of business activities on taxes, and on strategies for minimizing tax liability
• Represent Limestone clients before the IRS as needed
• Review the work of team members and provided feedback to ensure clients receive the highest quality work with communication from staff along the way
• Meet with clients as needed and provide tax return results as well as strategies for the future
• Communicate changes in tax law to team members and clients as needed
Be responsible and communicate effectively with clients and staff – 20%
This position is extremely hands-on and detail oriented. Limestone staff members need to be self-reliant and responsible for managing tasks and deadlines. These include but are not limited to:
o Use team calendar to schedule appointments for client work and internal meetings
o Use task management software to keep track of client and Limestone tasks
o Use QB Time to keep track of billable and non-billable time
o Communicate effectively through voice/text/email with clients and fellow staff members using professional language that is consistent with the vision and values of Limestone
o Work closely with corporate leaders to keep team and clients informed
• The ability to present information to clients and fellow staff members is critical. Limestone employees must be able to define problems, collect data accurately, establish reliable facts and draw valid conclusions.
Self-improvement and continuous education – 10%
• Attend weekly training meetings and contribute to discussions
• Participate in companywide training events
• Use internal and external resources to become a subject matter expert
• Perform other duties as assigned
What you need to accomplish!
• Client tax returns are reviewed and delivered on time to acceptable standards – Teamwork tasks, reviews & messages match time entries
• Display ownership of client deadlines and ask for help when needed to complete – Overdue tasks + Weekly team progress update
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and educational opportunities – Complete assigned training and keep up on industry news
• Monthly billing to clients matches value provided and is collected on time – AR Aging + Client profitability
What competencies you should have!
Education and Experience:
• CPA or EA designation preferred
• 5+ years experience in tax work
Business Systems Knowledge:
• Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Intuit ProConnect
• Small business accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online)
• Google Suite, Zoom, QB Time

This position works out of one of our main office locations. May be required to work more hours than normal during a regular workweek depending on workload and deadline requirements.
