• Territory Manager, building products

What is the opportunity?

• If you are a seasoned building trades sales professional seeking to take your career to the next level, this may be the opportunity. Our client, a wholesale distributor of building products, has an opening on their team in Eastern / Central Iowa.

How will you spend your time?

• The sale of the complete product line within the assigned territory
• Maintain business and identify new opportunities with current and prospective customers
• Build trusted industry expert business relationships
• Educating customers on product offerings and benefits
• Provide high-quality and timely customer service
• Work with team members to develop and provide product, program, and pricing strategies
• Monitor competition for pricing, products, logistics, and programs
• Travel daily within your assigned territory

We will be excited for you if you have the following:

• 3+ years of proven success in industry-related sales position
• Passion for sales, business development, and customer service
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills for self and team
• Strong computer and math skills

What do you get in return?

• Daytime, Monday to Friday schedule
• Regional Territory, home at nights
• Starting Compensation: $50K base salary plus commission. Total 1st-year compensation guarantee of $80K, plus uncapped commission. Thereafter, base salary plus commission. Most sales reps make between $100K to $200K annually.
• Other: Company car and gas card, phone, and travel expenses per diems.
• Benefits: Full benefits package, plus employee discount on company products.
