Our Operations Manager will:

• Be a positive team leader.
• Ensure team members meet dept goals
• Have general knowledge of all customer's needs and make sure needs are being met
• Monitor revenue and mileage goals daily
• Be the single point of communication with the shop regarding maintenance issues
• Make sure all computer work is being done in a timely manner
• Be aware of all service failures and guide dispatch/driver managers in a way to best support the customer, driver and company

Our Ideal Candidate will:

• Have Strong Communication Skills

You’re going to be talking to drivers, customers and team members all day long. It’s important you have the ability to build rapport with all of them. You will need to quickly read the situation and respond appropriately to everyone’s needs, sometimes at the same time.

• Be an Hours of Service Expert

You have experience with calculating driver’s hours of service and extensive knowledge on the topic so you can communicate to your driver about the forecasted plan. You have the ability to educate your driver on the plan and why it needs to be executed a certain way, based on their hours available.

• Show Attention to Detail

You will need to audit reports daily looking for missed or incorrect details

• Be Very Organized

Your desktop is clean and not a mess with nine hundred things saved on it. Every single detail matters when representing Windwalker and coordinating with drivers.

• Be Adaptable

Plans change all the time! You need to understand changes as they come and positively lead a change in plans and communicate to all parties involved. THESE CHANGES WILL HAPPEN and it is your job to accept the plan with a GOOD attitude and communicate the plan with a GOOD attitude. We know that oftentimes a change to the plan can be frustrating to everyone, it’s important to relay the message in a positive way and in a way that gets them on board because a lot of times, it’s out of our control.
