Salary Range: $50,000 - $150,000 (Performance-Based)

Job Description:
As a Used Car Manager at Vern Eide Mitsubishi, you will oversee all aspects of the used car inventory, including procurement, pricing, reconditioning, and sales performance. You will lead a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals while delivering outstanding customer experience. This role involves strategic decision-making, inventory management, and close collaboration with the sales team to ensure every customer finds the right vehicle for their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Maintain optimal levels of used-car inventory by selecting and purchasing vehicles that meet customer demand and align with dealership standards.
- Pricing and Reconditioning: Develop competitive pricing strategies and oversee the reconditioning process to ensure vehicles are market-ready and meet quality standards.
- Sales Leadership: Lead and coach a team of sales associates, providing guidance, training, and motivation to help them achieve their sales goals.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all customer interactions are professional and that the dealership delivers an exceptional car-buying experience.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitive pricing to make informed purchasing and pricing decisions.
- CRM Utilization: Ensure that all team members effectively use the CRM system to track leads, follow-ups, and customer interactions.
- Self-Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers, including online and offline campaigns, promotions, and events.
- Compliance and Procedures: Ensure all sales activities comply with dealership policies and legal requirements, maintaining the highest ethical standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance, inventory turnover, and gross profit to meet or exceed dealership goals.
- Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, auction houses, and other vehicle-sourcing channels.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive sales, preferably with a background in managing used car inventory.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle pricing, reconditioning processes, and market trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve targets.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales management software.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check
- A High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus.
