We are seeking a highly reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at our Black Hawk facility. This is a sole operator role, meaning the ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently, taking full ownership of warehouse operations, and ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks without direct supervision.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for performing all daily activities of the warehouse, which often involves actively performing all warehouse/delivery functions, expediting the receiving and shipping of products, ensuring efficient and organized storage, jobsite delivery and client service. This “hands-on” role includes delivery driver responsibilities and coordination as well as routing of deliveries, inventory control, management best practices, safety and compliance, and strategic projects.

This position reports to the Company’s Senior Operations Manager. Starting annual compensation is commensurate with relevant job experience.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold, facilitate and model the company’s high standard of Client service and core values of Safety, Integrity, Service and Passion
  • Ensure safety, product, equipment, and vehicles by complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
  • Responsible for daily loading, lifting, shipping/receiving, quality control and accuracy
  • Perform essential functions as a Certified Delivery Driver including driving, lifting, and delivering products.
  • Perform essential functions as a Certified Material Handler. Inspect, label and safely inventory Special Order product upon delivery to our warehouse.  Prepare in advance for incoming inventory, working closely with Purchasing and completing required paperwork.
  • Schedule and route daily deliveries to client jobsites, considering destination, gross vehicle weights (loaded with product) and proper vehicle selection
  • Ensure daily vehicle inspections are completed and ELD responsibilities fulfilled.
  • Maintain condition of warehouse by planning/implementing new design/layouts to improve efficiency as inventory levels fluctuate and control inventory levels through cycle and physical counts.
  • Inspect warehouse equipment and vehicle fleet to facilitate repair, service and/or replacement when needed
  • Provide knowledgeable, friendly assistance to walk-in/call-in clients fulfilling orders and other services. This can include creating new sales orders in the system.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other key stakeholders across the Company, including Sales and Purchasing departments
  • Hire, train, mentor, motivate and manage the performance of warehouse/driving staff on a temporary basis when needed.
  • Strategic/special projects as needed

Education & Experience

  • Minimum two years of shipping/receiving experience in a distribution environment
  • Previous management experience in a distribution, construction, or manufacturing environment
  • Minimum two years of leadership experience in a warehouse role such as Warehouse Manager, Assistant Warehouse Manager, Lead positions, etc.
  • Experience with material handling and forklift operations
  • Experience with DOT, OSHA and FMCSA safety regulations
  • Valid Driver’s License with excellent driving record

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Ability to repetitively handle products weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to routinely bend, twist, stoop, reach, pull, and push in a warehouse/jobsite setting.
